Pablo Garcia Loaeza is Assistant Professor of Spanish in the Department of World Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics at West Virginia University. He holds a PhD from Indiana University, Bloomington and specializes in colonial Spanish American literature and culture. His research on historiography and identity formation in Mexico has appeared in such journals as Colonial Latin American Review and Colonial Latin American Historical Review. He is also interested in every-day objects and society formation in the early Spanish settlement of the Rio de la Plata.
