ROSINA LIPPI is the author of the critically acclaimed and award- winning novel Homestead, which won the 1998 Hemingway Foundation/PEN Award for best first fiction and was short-listed for the 2001 Orange Prize. Her five subsequent novels, published under the pen name Sara Donati, constitute the Wilderness series, a saga set in upstate New York during the post-Revolutionary period. Lippi lives in Bellingham, Washington.
