Lucy R. Lippard is one of American's most influential writers on art, and was the longtime art critic for The Village Voice. She has received the American College Art Association's Mather Award. Her numerous books include Get the Message: A Decade of Art for Social Change, Six Years: The Dematerialization of the Art Object, Changing: Essays in Art Criticism, The Pink Glass Swan: Selected Essays on Feminist Art and Overlay: Contemporary Art and the Art of Prehistory.
