Rosane Choncholis a carioca, born and living in Rio de Janeiro, a third-generation descendent of Jews who emigrated to Brazil from Kiev and Esmirna. She is an artist, a writer and a psychoanalyst. When she was young, she lived in Europe and was inspired by Lacan, Chaplin, Bergman, Fellini and Woody Allen, resulting in a narrative style that is absolutely original. She mixes a disconcerting concoction of dream and reality, turning the story-telling into a hilarious psychoanalytic session.
