Levy, Sima

Born in Tel Aviv, Israel, author Sima Levy moved to New York with her family at the age of eight. Later that same year, her eighteen-year-old brother died of a brain tumor, a tragedy that first stirred a desire in her to give back to the world. Now a wife and mother, Levy hopes her Meet the Artist series is making that childhood dream a reality.

Levy teaches an art program at Schechter Day School, and also has the pleasure of sharing art with children at Cohen Children's Medical Center. When she's not serving the community, she likes to spend time with her family and dream up the next artis...
