Harry L. Levy (1906-0981), a distinguished classical scholar, received numerous awards and honors, including the first Chancellor's Medal conferred by the City University of New York. Professor of Humanities at Fordham University and Visiting Professor of Classics at Duke University, Levy also served as President of the American Philological Association. He was the author of numerous articles and six books, including Claudian's In Rufinum: An Exegetical Commentary.
