Aura Levitas has enjoyed a lifelong involvement in the arts. Born in Brooklyn of Finnish ancestry, she trained as a dancer and appeared on Broadway in a number of musicals. She also performed in productions headed by icons of the Golden Age of Television, among them: Perry Como and Milton Berle. The artist's passion for mixed media and collage led to exhibits in both the Hamptons and New York City, and she also studied at the Chicago Art Institute, Art Students League, and the New School.
