Levitan, Seymour

SEYMOUR LEVITAN is an accomplished editor and an award winning translator of Yiddish poems and stories. An ESL teacher at Lord Selkirk Elementary School in Vancouver, as "poet in residence" at the Vancouver School Board from 1991 to 1992 he conducted in-school workshops taking "a writing approach to poetry," which has now become a regular feature of his ESL teaching.
