Levin, Theodore

THEODORE LEVIN grew up in New England and was educated at Amherst College and Princeton University. His longstanding interest in the musical life of other cultures has focused at various times on the Celtic lands, the Balkans, the Caucasus, South Siberia, and Central Asia. His recordings of music from these areas has been released on the Nonesuch, Smithsonian/Folkways, Ocora, and Auvidis/UNESCO labels. He teaches in the Music Department at Dartmouth College.
