Leslie, Jennifer

The author was born in France in 1933 and was a hidden child during the German occupation of France in the Second World War. Both his mother and father were deported to Auschwitz where they were killed. He left for America in 1948, a teenager, and was adopted by an American Jewish family. He graduated from Pratt Institute in 1952 with a degree in fine arts and worked for many years as senior art director at a large sales promotion agency.
