"Essayist Jesse Lerner is a Los Angeles-based documentary filmmaker. His work has been screened at The Museum of Modern Art, New York, The Los Angeles International Film Festival, and The Film Society of Lincoln Center. His critical essays on photography, film, and video have appeared in international media journals, and he has organized several exhibitions, including The Mexperimental Cinema, a traveling retrospective of 60 years of avant-garde film and video from Mexico, which will end at the Guggenheim Museum in New York in the summer of 2006.
