David A. Leeming is Emeritus Professor of English and Comparative Literature at the University of Connecticut at Storrs. His books include Myths, Legends and Folktales (OUP, 1999), Mythology (OUP, 1998), and, with Jake Page, God: Myths of the Male Divine and Goddess: Myths of the Female Divine (both OUP, 1996).
