Leal, Sonia

Sonia Leal started out with a BA in communications from Fordham University, with which she worked in radio and television, including PBS. Ten years after earning her bachelor's degree, she graduated from the City College of New York with her MS in education and began her new career in teaching K-12.

Over the past twenty-one years of teaching, Leal has been approached numerous times by parents wanting to know how they should answer their child's questions about Santa Claus. This inspired her to write a book about her own experience talking to her nine-year-old daughter about Saint Nicholas.
