Lavizzari, Alexandra

Alexandra Lavizzari was born in Basel, where she went on to study Anthropology and Islamic Studies. She has spent periods of her life in Nepal, Pakistan, Thailand and Italy, and now lives in Somerset. In addition to shorter, more occasional pieces, she has published more than twenty books in German. These include novels, literary biographies, short stories, children's stories, poetry and books about oriental art. She is also a keen painter and photographer.
