Ali LaVecchia is a longtime aficionado of suspense novels, predominantly detective and mystery. She got the bug for writing when she won first place in a seventh grade essay contest on "Safety in the Schools" followed by another in eighth grade for "What Freedom Means to Me." Since then, she's been writing stories, poems and plays.
