The author, writing as Jesuis Laplume on matters of science and spirituality, was trained as a scientist in an engineering faculty, graduating with a B.A.Sc. and, after an apprenticeship in the aircraft field, moved into spacecraft component and system design and development. His science training was short on specifics and thorough on science and mathematics.
