Elvira V. Lang, MD, PhD, FSIR, FSCEH, is a pioneer and leading international expert in the use of self-hypnosis during medical procedures. Her training of medical personnel to incorporate Comfort Talk(r) into MRI, breast care, oncology, urology, gastroenterology, radiology, obstetrics, and dentistry has resulted in greater patient comfort and safety. Internationally known in the field of interventional radiology, Dr. Lang served as Chief of Interventional Radiology and Associate Professor at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School in Boston.
