J. F. Cicci is originally from Palatine, Illinois, and before becoming a writer, she served in the US Armed Forces and separated as a commissioned military intelligence officer. She is the daughter of very successful parents who dedicated over twenty years to teaching early childhood development through their privately owned Montessori school. With her mother's guidance, Cicci wrote Truffle's Sad Song in an effort to inspire children to help those who struggle with great sadness.
