Edwin M. Lamboy, a native of Puerto Rico coordinates the Spanish program at Montclair State University. With a Ph.D. from The Pennsylvania State University in Spanish Linguistics, he teaches at all levels of the curriculum from Elementary Spanish and Intermediate Spanish to Methods of Teaching Spanish in Secondary Schools and History of the Spanish Language. His research agenda has focused on the teaching of Spanish to Hispanic bilinguals and on sociolinguistic aspects of the use of Spanish in the New York area.
