Born in 1921, John A Lamb has lived during the time of the most social extremes in the twentieth century. Intermittent wars, depressions, and prosperity have temporarily retarded or stimulated advances in scientific, economic, and equal rights and along the way provided Lamb with perspectives on and opportunities to participate in endeavors ranging over the years from errand boy to corporate counselor. Since retirement, Lamb has counseled college graduates seeking employment, volunteered in prisoner rehabilitation, and worked with street people. After several years of painting he concentrated
