Lacks, Cissy

Cissy Lacks is a writer, photographer and teacher. She is a recipient of the PEN/Newman's Own Award, which is given each year to one person in the United States who has defended First Amendment rights at a personal risk. She has had several one-woman photography shows and publications in both the creative and non-fiction areas. She has a PhD in American Studies and an MS in Broadcasting.
