Richard A. LaFleur is Franklin Professor of ClassicsEmeritusand former Head of Classics at the University of Georgia; he has served as Editor of theClassical Outlookand President of the American Classical League, and is a recipient of the American Philological Association's national award for excellence in the teaching of Classics.
