Dawn Kostelnik, the author lives in a house that looks out over the Ocean in Saltery Bay on the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia, Canada. The Audrey Eleanor carried her and the Captain to this garden of Eden from the shores of Alaska. After living most of her life in the Canadian Arctic, Dawn is now able to watch her trees produce fruit, grow a winter garden as well as a summer garden and fish in the sea all year long.
