C. P. Klapper, the author of "The Washington Poems" and "Sonnets for the Spanish," is a poet who is unknown almost everywhere. Born into a family with decidedly mixed backgrounds and professions, his musical and academic talents were early recognized, as were his hyperactivity and strange mannerisms.
