Kirby, Mina

Mina Kirby was a professor of mathematics who has, since retirement, become a writer. She is the author of many poems, songs, and stories as well as a book of mathematics songs and projects, a cookbook, and eight chapbooks. Plagued by health issues in recent years, she finds writing and performing her works a part of coming back to life, definitely a butterfly thing to do. She lives in Altadena, California. This is the first book-length collection of her poetry.
