Bongsoo Kim is Professor of Chemistry at KAIST in Korea. He has a BS and a MS degree in Chemistry from Seoul National University and a PhD in Physical Chemistry from U. C. Berkeley. He spent two years at Kyungbook National University as a professor. Then he moved to KAIST in 1996, serving there at present. His primary interest has been laser spectroscopy in molecular beams. Recently he expanded his interest into nanoscience and synthesized gold nanowires and nanoplates, utilizing them for surface enhanced Raman scattering.
