Chris Killip, born 1946 in Douglas, Isle of Man, Great Britain, is one of the most influential photographers and teachers to have come out of the United Kingdom. His work at Side Gallery, Newcastle, in the late 1970s and 1980s defined an era of photographic history. He is the recipient of numerous prizes and his work is included in most major museum collections Killip has published four books of his photographs: Isle of Man, In Flagrante -- both with texts by John Berger, 55 with text by Gerry Badger and now Pirelli Work with text by Clive Dilnot.
