Rachel Killick is Professor of Quebec Studies and Nineteenth-Century French Studies, and Director of the Leeds Centre for Canadian Studies, University of Leeds (UK). Her research in Quebec Studies focuses on the particular role of theatre, especially that of Michel Tremblay, in the development of Quebec's international profile. In 2004 she was awarded the Ordre des francophones d'AmC)rique by Quebec's Conseil superieur de la langue franC'aise.
