Kiraya started drawing her own stories at age three. She loved being read stories. In third grade, she made a promise to write the amazing story about what happened to her pet hamster, Hammy. She attended the University of Washington as an Art Major working in drawings and paintings. She worked for Mastercraft Ring Company and received a journeyman in jewelry making. Kiraya started her own company now called Creations by kiraya featuring her handcrafted jewelry and oil and watercolor paintings.
