Allen Kent is the pen name of Kent A. Farnsworth to distinguish his novels from his academic writing. Kent was born in Walter Reed Hospital in Washington DC, but has lived west of the Mississippi since his family moved to California when he was less than a year old. Four years of his life were spent in Iran and England, and he has traveled extensively in Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia - experiences that are reflected in both his fiction and non-fiction work.
