Kempton, Jean Goldschmidt

Kempton was born in Washington, DC. and moved to New York in 1951. She graduated from Sarah Lawrence College and became a case worker for the New York City Department of Social Services. She and her husband were active in the movement against the Vietnam War. In 1970 they had spent some months in Mexico and were returning there in 1971 when they were killed in an automobile accident in Virginia.
