Nancy L. Kelker received her Ph.D. (Art History) from the University of Texas at Austin. In the 1980s she worked as the associate curator of Latin American art at the San Antonio Museum of Art, where she curated the collections and exhibitions of Hispanic/Latino art. She is the author/editor of several exhibition catalogs; co-author with Karen Bruhns of two books Faking Ancient Mesoamerica (2010) and Faking the Ancient Andes (2010), and author of several short articles. She is currently a professor of art history at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN.
