Kearns, Bob

Bob Kearns is a husband, a father, and an earnest follower of Jesus Christ-but he traveled a long road before becoming any of these. He was raised Catholic and entered the seminary to become a priest, but he couldn't accept the idea of a lifetime of celibacy.

After leaving the seminary, Kearns decided to join the air force, serving as a surgical technician during the Vietnam War. Then, before grad school, he took a summer job as an insurance claim adjuster-and his path changed yet again.
