Shaneschia Kay was born and raised in Bridgeport, Connecticut. No stranger to the atrocities that come along with living in poverty stricken area, Shaneschia managed to survive in an area filled with frequent drug dealing, robberies and killings. Staying strong, Shaneschia's writing has been strongly influenced by her experiences in such an environment. At the age of 12, Shaneschia found that she had a passion for writing.
