Barbara Kay received an Honours degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Toronto and an M.A. in Literature from McGill University. She is a Woodrow Wilson Fellow. Barbara taught English literature at Concordia University and in the Quebec CEGEP system for many years. She founded and edited FirstFruits, an anthology of creative writing by Montreal high school students for 25 years.
