Delmar Karlen was a professor of law (from 1953-1977) at New York University School of Law. At NYU, he directed the Institute of Judicial Administration, a center for the improvement of the administration of court systems which offered classes to trial and appellate judges. He also taught at the law schools of the University of Wisconsin and William & Mary. His other books included 'Cases and Materials on Trials and Appeals' (1961) and 'Anglo-American Criminal Justice' (1967).
