Fine artist Karl Kanai, and graphic designer P'ninah Kanai, are native Detroiters. Both having grown-up visiting the Detroit Zoo, it is no surprise that they met through a specific painting of Karl's. "Long Day At The Zoo" was inspired by a day Karl spent at the Detroit Zoo in 2003. Two years later, P'ninah saw the painting in a gallery and contacted him about buying it.
