Peter Kallaway is Professor of Education at the University of the Western Cape. He is a graduate of Rhodes University, the University of Cape Town and the University of London and has been a member of the educational profession in South Africa since the sixties, as a high school history teacher, a teacher educator, and a historian and critic of apartheid education.
