Kim Kachmann-Geltz earned an undergraduate degree in Political Science, English, and Spanish from Indiana University, and a masters degree in American Studies from Columbia University, New York. She was a legislative assistant on Capitol Hill serving US Senator Joe Biden and Representatives Phil Sharp and Bob Carr. As a legislative aide, she pushed a bill that became law, combating telemarketing crimes against the elderly.
