James Jupp is the Director of the Centre for Immigration and Multicultural Studies at the Australian National University. He was General Editor of the Bicentennial Encyclopedia of the Australian People from 1984 until its publication as The Australian People in September 1988 and of the second edition published for the Centenary of Federation in 2001.
