Astrid Julian has written well over 100 science and technology video scripts for NASA. She holds degrees in French and German and can speak a smattering of other languages, including Russian. She has visited the Berlin Wall in all phases of its construction and deconstruction, and has toured various cold war sites including, "the Diefenbunker," near Ottawa, which was intended to house key figures in the Canadian government and military in the event of a nuclear attack on Canada. When she is not writing, she is photographing shorebirds near her home on the southern shore of Lake Erie.
