Melinda Josiah Geaumont earned a BA in Sociology from the University of Southern Maine and a Masters in Social Work from the University of New England. Her first novel, Becoming Auma, was published in 2007 and her poetry can be found in the Northern New England Review and the award winning journal, Welcome Home. She enjoys her work as a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist, and loves spending time surrounded by family and friends, traveling, practicing yoga, and writing. Melinda is a mother and grandmother, and lives with her husband in Springvale, Maine.
