Sheryl Trudgian Jones spent her entire work career working with children and their families as a teacher and social worker. Her mother interested her in tracing family genealogy after Sheryl and her husband, Dennis, had added three daughters to their family. Sheryl soon combined her curiosity of how families work with an interest in her own roots. She earned a Masters in Social Work (MSW) with a concentration in family life from Aurora University in Illinois while continuing to research the Trudgian family, both in the U.S. and in Cornwall, England.
