Jon Lewis

Jon Lewis is Professor of English at Oregon State University. He is the author of The End of Cinema as We Know It: American Film in the Nineties (2002), Hollywood v. Hard-Core: Censorship and Regulation (2000), and Whom the God Wishes to Destroy...: Francis Coppola and the New Hollywood (1995). Eric Smoodin is Professor of American Studies at the University of California, Davis. He is the author of Regarding Frank Capra: Audience, Celebrity, and American Film Studies, 1930-1960 (2004) and Animating Culture: Hollywood Cartoons from the Sound Era (1993).
