Michelle T. Johnson worked at the Philadelphia Daily News fora short stint before working the duration of her journalism career at the Louisville Courier-Journal and the Austin American Statesman after she received her journalism degree in 1986. Her concern for community and civic issues led Michelle to attend the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law, where in 1994 she was named by the Missouri Supreme Court, as the Top Moot Oralist of her law school.
