Johnson, Mary Ellen

Mary Ellen Johnson grew up on a farm in southwestern Minnesota in the 1940s, one of six children. She graduated from Minnesota State University Mankato and taught English for thirty years. Her first novel, Lambs Dancing, received a Midwest Book Award. Mary Ellen and her husband, Carl, live on Lake Pulaski in Buffalo, Minnesota. They have five children and nine grandchildren.
