Jerome Johnson, born July 1959 in Harlem, New York, is the eldest of seven children. Later his mother moved the family to the Bronx, where he attended and graduated high school. After high school, he enlisted in the Army were he began to develope his writing skills as a Communication Specialist. He ended his tour with the military as a Drill Instructor. Receiving his honorable discharge, Jerome went to work for the U.S. Justice Department.
