Dale L. Johnson received his PhD in clinical and developmental psychology from the University of Kansas in 1957. After a two year stint as a staff psychologist at a VA hospital, he began his academic career at the University of Houston in 1959. He was chairman of the Department from 1966-1972 and a Professor of Psychology from 1969-2005.
