Johnson, Charles Richard

Charles Johnson holds the S. Wilson and Grace M. Pollock Professorship for Excellence in English at the University of Washington in Seattle. One of America's preeminent writers and thinkers, he is a recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, the National Book Award, a MacArthur Foundation grant, and, most recently, an Academy Award in Literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
