Children's book author Crystal Bozeman Clifton was born and raised in Dalhart and graduated from Dalhart High School in 1983. Since high school, she married and together she and her husband became the proud parents of four children and six grandchildren. Crystal's children's books are loosely based on her children and grandchildren. Crystal still calls Dalhart, "home" and returns as often as she can.
